TRANSPORT POLICY GROUP

The next Transport Policy Group will take place on Tuesday 18th June. This session will see Highways England Divisional Director, Iftikhar Mir, present on current regional infrastructure projects affecting Chamber members. The session will also see an update from Road Haulage Association Area Manager Simon Priest on relevant issues for hauliers including Brexit preparedness and the truck cartel lawsuit. Colin Leighfield, Transport Group Chair, will also update on the Chamber’s discussion with the National Infrastructure Commission on Heathrow expansion and the future of ‘hub airports’.

COMMONWEALTH GAMES 2022 BUSINESS FORUM

The Second Black Country 2022 Business Forum features presenters from the Birmingham 2022 organising committee. The Forum brings together regional businesses in order to explore and understand the opportunities the Commonwealth Games is bringing the West Midlands. In March over 70 companies came to WBA FC to the first Forum.
